Lil Wayne and his Downfall

Lil Wayne, what happened? The man has absolutely fallen off of the Earth when it comes to music, in fact…. has he even tweeted lately? Honestly, I know nothing about the rapper anymore; I don't know if he’s working on something, I don’t know if he has released anything, I know nothing. Weezy is like the iPhone 4s, he is totally outdated and there are better artists that have taken over any opportunity he has had to jump back into the music world. I remember when I was in the 7th grade, that’s when everyone knew him, now, he’s totally irrelevant. I never really enjoyed his music, it wasn’t that I didn’t think he was original, it was simply that I couldn’t stand anything he put out. The only song I really enjoyed was Tapout, a song that only featured Lil Wayne. To update you, Lil Wayne is in debt, and back in 2014, Weezy owed more than $12 million in taxes alone. Just last year, his house was raided and his extensive collection of expensive artwork was seized to settle his debt.

His extensive wealth was his downfall, he had the money, so he got comfortable. Lil Wayne basically got lazy, he sat around and didn't do anything productive, and now look where he is. He is the perfect example of a modern day MC Hammer; make it all, spend it all. His financial assets are fried, his connections are fried, and honestly, was he ever a good rapper? If I had to choose whether or not to give him a record deal I would’ve turned him down in the blink of an eye. I’m not trying to sound like an absolute Lil Wayne hater, but the man has no talent in my eyes. Have you ever listened him try to freestyle?

Lil Wayne, I must say, will probably not be relevant anymore than he is now. Day by day, hour by hour, he is quickly falling into the pit of “once-good” rappers. He once toured with Drake and flaunted his wealth on any social media platform he could, now his art is being seized and his music is lacking words and sound, it’s non existent.
